This week's skirt special!

Hello! I usually post special offers on my Facebook page, but I am increasingly being told by my customers that they do not have a Facebook page, so I will try and post on my blog too.

For $65 + $10 shipping, you can choose one of the above fabrics for a skirt in the same style as the skirt pictured below.

The finished length is 53cm and it has a button and zipper closure in the centre back.

To order, please send an email to: petapledger@gmail.com

Have a lovely week!

'Buffy' dress, inspired by VLV and Greazefest

The Rockabilly scenes are buzzing at this time of the year, with so many festivals coming up. Australia has many wonderful Rockabilly festivals, but in size, they don't compare to the USA's Viva Las Vegas. 2008 will see VLV 11, my friends Sarah and Guy went to VLV 10 last year and from what I have heard, it is something that needs to be seen to be believed!

I made the 'Buffy' dress using a heavy Hawaiian 100% Cotton barkcloth. It is fully lined with Viscose and has an invisible zip in the centre back.

The side front and backs each have 3 soft knife pleats and the bodice has halter neck straps.

When I fitted this dress on my house model Dani, we both looked at each other and sighed.

In keeping with the Hawaiian theme...

I am always really flattered when I get a repeat order for the same garment that I have made for someone, in a different colourway.

This Pencil Skirt is fully lined with lucious, heavy Viscose lining. It has a regular 2.5cm wide waistband with an invisible zip closure in the back. I have used this lovely Buttercup coloured Hawaiian Cotton Barkcloth for both the skirt and the matching 2" wide belt.

I will continue the Hawaiian print theme for the first part of the year, so stay tuned!
